The Darkness of Transgenderism

The promises of transgender ideology, like the promises of Satan, lead not to self-actualization but to self-destruction.

Catholics are divided about what to think of the transgender movement.

On the one hand, the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops warns Catholics against attempts to redesign God’s creation through medical interventions such as puberty blockers and surgeries; and the bishops call on adults to “protect children and adolescents” from such life-altering interventions.

On the other hand, some Catholics think that children need to be protected from interfering adults who would keep them from realizing their supposed potential to become the opposite sex.

And some Catholics apparently believe that any criticism and questioning of transgenderism is contrary to Catholic teaching. Fr. James Martin, SJ, accepts that being “transgender” is normal and that repentance from public declarations of being such is unnecessary and wrong because they are “children of God.” While such language is increasingly common, it is broad brushed and misleading, as only those who are baptized and in a state of grace of children of God (cf CCC 1265ff, Jn 1:12; 1 Jn 3:1ff).

There is also the broad assumption that criticism is a sign of anger and hatred. In a recent article for America, Cardinal Robert McElroy wrote, “It is a demonic mystery of the human soul why so many men and women have a profound and visceral animus toward members of the LGBT communities.”

What McElroy either doesn’t understand or ignores is that any animus is directed not at gender-confused individuals, but at the destructive ideological movement that has captured their minds and, in many cases, damaged their bodies. As a Cardinal, he is obliged to uphold Church teaching on sexuality. Yet, he is saying, in effect, that young people should feel free to reject those teachings should their conscience or experience tell them otherwise.

Since McElroy suggests that those who disagree with him harbor some “demonic mystery” in their souls, what are we to think of a prelate who disagrees with God’s plan for human sexuality?

After all, as Saint Paul says in his epistle to the Romans, God’s plan can be clearly perceived in the things that have been made (Rom 1:19-20). Tellingly, the first creature to express displeasure with the plan was a demon. In the Garden of Eden, the serpent suggests to Adam and Eve that they should follow their own inclinations rather than God’s plan.

After accusing God of lying, the serpent then proceeds to tell a colossal lie: “when you eat of it [the fruit] your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God” (Gen. 3:5). In short, you will no longer be only a creature, you will be a creator.

How can Adam and Eve have fallen for that? That is certainly a mystery (cf CCC, 309ff), but it is a perennial temptation. Gender-confused people are being told, in effect, that God has made a mistake—that He has put their soul into the wrong body, and that they have the right to recreate themselves according to their own desires.

As for guidance, they can rely on their conscience. In McElroy’s scheme of things, “It is conscience that has the privileged place “over Catholic teaching.

But, as a result of original sin, conscience doesn’t always work as it was meant to. It can be darkened and weak. A conscience has to be formed by parents, grandparents, teachers, clergy, Scripture, and the Holy Spirit.

What McElroy seems to have in mind is not the Christian notion of a well-formed conscience, but the humanist notion that conscience is some sort of natural inner compass that works better without the interference of Church or society.

This view of conscience can be seen more clearly when we look at the work of Fr. Martin, perhaps the most prominent pro-LGBT Catholic on the planet. In Martin’s view, “conscience” is really just another word for “feelings.” If a certain behavior makes you feel good about yourself, then it is good for you. For Martin, the important thing is not to do good but to feel good.

For example, although the Church teaches that a “same-sex marriage” is sinful, Martin once told a homosexual person who was about to be “married,” “your love is beautiful.” A common theme in Martin’s writings is that God loves us as we are. That’s true in a sense. As St. Paul states, “while we were still sinners Christ died for us “(Rom 5:8). But, as Scripture and Church teachings make clear, God does not love our sins. Rather, He wants us to change our sinful ways. God wants us to transition, but not from male to female or vice versa, but from a state of sin to a state of grace.

By contrast, Fr. Martin’s approach is reminiscent of an old radio advertisement for the Unitarian Church: “Come as you are; we don’t want to change you.” His message to the LGBT community is that they are “beautiful”, “wonderful” and “special.” One gets the impression that God is not only pleased with LGBT persons, but also pleased with their behavior—so pleased that he gives them an exemption from the rules.

A few years ago, in a video posted on YouTube, Fr. Martin claimed that chastity is not required of people of the LGBT persuasion. Why not? Because, said Martin, “For a teaching to be really authoritative, it is expected that it will be received by the people of God.” However, he continues, “the teaching that LGBT people must be celibate their entire lives has not been received.”

One gets the impression from listening to Martin that, unlike ordinary Christians, LGBT Christians aren’t required to change their behavior. The only requirement for them is that they abide by their own experience and follow the guidance of their own inner compass.

But this sounds more like the gospel of self-esteem than the gospel of Christ. In the last half of the last century, psychological notions about self-esteem, self-acceptance, and self-actualization became popular with many Catholics. But, as psychologist Paul Vitz observed, human potential psychology was nothing but a “cult of self-worship.” And Abraham Maslow, one of the founders of the Human Potential Movement, admitted that if the doctrine of original sin was true, then his own theories were in error.

Catholics such as Martin and McElroy seem to be relics of that movement. They are true believers who can’t see that their brand of self-fulfillment leads to ruined lives and damaged bodies.

McElroy thinks that those who reject the transgender agenda are the victims of some kind of “demonic” influence. But the opposite seems more likely. The transgender agenda seems much more in line with Satan’s agenda than with God’s. In Genesis, Satan’s temptation of Adam and Eve comes immediately after a statement of God’s intention for men and women: “Therefore a man leaves his father and his mother and cleaves to his wife, and they become one flesh” (Gen. 2:24).

According to some Christian traditions, Satan’s rebellion was prompted by envy at God’s creation of man. Notwithstanding the widely accepted notion that the original sin was a sin of intellectual pride, it’s possible that Adam and Eve were enticed to engage in forms of sex that were sterile and non-reproductive. And that would have put a quick end to the human race.

In any event, LGBT sex is for the most part a sterile and non-reproductive form of sex. It does not, as a rule, bring new life into the world, it does not result in the formation of families, and it does not accord with God’s very obvious plan for the two sexes.

In a talk to a spiritual warfare conference, San Francisco Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone called the LGBT ideology “demonic.” This would seem to put him at odds with his colleague in San Diego, Cardinal McElroy. In fact, Cordileone’s criticism of the LGBT movement might even put him in the category of those who, according to McElroy, suffer from “a demonic mystery of the soul.”

Who is right?

I am not accusing any individual of being the devil’s disciple, but it does seem that if the devil is involved in the current crisis over sexuality, he is aligned with the LGBT movement, not with its critics.

For instance, consider the explosive growth of the trans movement. A recent study found that nearly 10 % of Pittsburg high schoolers identify as “gender-diverse.” Meanwhile, data from Maryland’s largest public school district reveals that the number of students identifying as gender non-conforming may have increased almost six-fold between 2019 to 2022. And in the UK, the number of children and young adults who identify as transgender increased by 4,000 percent between 2009 and 2018.

Of course, the contagion can be explained in terms of peer influence, social media influence, and any number of other factors. Still, the skyrocketing growth of the trans movement does create a suspicion that something other-worldly is involved—perhaps an intervention of that ancient influencer from hell.

Another aspect of the trans phenomenon that suggests demonic influence is the brazen lie that lies at the heart of it—the belief that individuals can change their gender at will. To compound the damage caused by the lie, ordinary people are forced to repeat it. We know that the stubble-faced guy with the baritone voice who works in our office is not a woman, but we also know that we’d better refer to him as “she” lest we end up without a job. It’s difficult to understand how so few people can compel so many people to tell lies—unless the “father of lies” is working his trade.

The misogyny of the trans movement provides another clue suggestive of Satan’s involvement. Misogyny? Of the trans movement? Well, yes. There may be a majority of women in the trans movement, but they don’t necessarily like being women. They celebrate men who beat women at sports, and they themselves want to be like men. They want to be strong and independent like men, and they don’t want to be burdened with carrying babies in their wombs or with the task of nursing them afterwards. Perhaps this is why a significant number of trans-identifying girls and women seek cross-sex hormones, bind their breasts, and even undergo breast removal surgery.

Not surprisingly, this rejection of motherhood is often taken to the streets. Many of the women who show up for trans rallies, show up for pro-abortion rallies as well. And women who have abortions are often cast as heroes by trans activists.

But what does any of this have to do with Satan? A great deal, actually. In Scripture, Satan is portrayed as a master misogynist. After he seduces Adam and Eve, God curses the serpent and says “I will put enmity between you and the woman and between your seed and her seed.” (Gen.3:15). Some of this enmity is revealed in the Book of Revelation. A woman clothed with the sun and bearing a child appears in heaven. But Satan, in the form of “a great red dragon” “stood before the woman…that he might devour the child when she brought it forth” (Rev. 12:1-4).

In Catholic tradition, the woman plays a key role in the final defeat of Satan. Consequently, “the dragon was angry with the woman, and went off to make war on the rest of her offspring, on those who keep the commandments of God and bear testimony to Jesus” (Rev. 12:17).

Of course, if you find that passage offensive in any way, you’re free to ignore it. At least, that seems to be the advice of prominent trans advocates who aren’t happy with many scriptural teachings about sexuality. They are offended in particular with the notion that God created us as “male and female” and commanded us to “be fruitful and multiply.” Recently, Fr. Martin suggested that Christians should ignore Biblical teachings that condemn homosexual behavior. In a new guide book on the Bible and homosexuality he states: “Devout Christians shouldn’t do everything that [the] Old Testament commands. Likewise for the Epistles in the New Testament.”

What should guide us then? The answer, according to clerics such as Martin and McElroy is that you are your own guide. You don’t need the guidance of parents, Scripture, or Tradition; what you really need is to look deep inside and realize that you are unique, beautiful, and special. Moreover, God loves you just the way you are, so it’s a good bet that He is pleased with everything you do. Others may disapprove of your behavior, but your conscience has the “privileged place” over Church teaching.

But much of Scripture and Tradition teaches us that we shouldn’t get too comfortable with ourselves. If I’m okay the way I am, why do I need the transformation in Christ that Paul speaks of? Do we find our true selves by plunging ever deeper into self-absorption or by uniting ourselves more deeply with Christ?

The promises of transgenderism, like the promises of Satan, are cloaked in soothing language. But, like the empty promises of Satan, they lead not to self-actualization but to self-destruction.

  1. Unnatural fleshly lifestyles lead to anxiety, depression and death. In the world of fleshly passions, the intellect is darkened, and the heart turns inward om itself. Love is lost. Love leads to Life. The Lord has mercy, but the lost more often become obstinate and enslaved.”Surely you will not die?” Without participating in Christs love, you will. By humility, the Lord raises us up. PRIDE goes before the Fall.

  2. A decent article by the learned Dr. Kilpatrick with the exception of using the preferred terminology of those who advocate all things “transgender” without proper qualification (save for one time when he correctly set forth “transgender” with quotation marks), thereby giving the false impression that such things are real.

Indeed, in order to avoid playing into the hands of this dark movement, the article should have had the following in place of what is present each and every time the terms and acronym are used:

    “transgenderism”

    LGB”T”

    “trans”

    “trans-identifying”
    _______________________

As I have written in comments and a few blog articles, all of us fighting against the evil of “transgenderism” in its ongoing attack on God’s creative order should always resist using any of the preferred terminology of those who advocate “transgenderism” without including necessary qualifications (such as quotation marks) to make it abundantly clear that such terms do not represent any objective reality and are completely rejected without any exception whatsoever. Why should we do this?

Well, many years ago the late, great Moral Theologian Monsignor William Smith frequently advised that “all social engineering is preceded by verbal engineering.” The more we give in to the use of such malevolent and false terminology used by “transgender” advocates (no matter how many doctors, psychologists, church leaders, and so on believe otherwise), the more we help to normalize the abuse of properly recognizing God’s creative order of male and female.

    • Dear DocVerit, from your incisive comments here, I surmise that you would have contradicted, or at least avoided, the deceptive usage, viz. a “recognition” of same sex “marriage”, because ss’m’ cannot be ‘recognised’ because it cannot in fact exist – it can only purport to be concocted, or ‘invented’, because it is inherently an absurdity, if not a ‘contradiction in terms’. Ref. “What is Marriage?” Girgis, Anderson & George, 2012.

      • Gerard Flood:

Indeed, since at least 2012 I have indicated and written about the faux nature and absurdity of “same-sex marriage,” though “transgender” is an absurdity in and of itself that pertains to the reality of being either male or female while “same-sex marriage” is an absurdity based on Divine Moral Law that sets forth how males and females can properly unite if they choose to do so.

  3. Enough damage has been done! As stated “has captured their minds and, in many cases, damaged their bodies”. Is it not time that those have caused the damage be made to pay? For example, those self-dubbed psychiatrists and other medical doctors who have by their interventions driven many to self-hatred and suicide should be made to pay. They claimed that their actions were necessary for the “health” of the patients. We now have enough evidence that their practices have had the opposite effect.

  4. “Catholics are divided about what to think of the transgender movement.”

Really? If that’s accurate, Catholics ought to be ashamed of themselves. And anyone who has contributed to that ought to make a sincere examination of conscience and resort to the Sacrament before returning to Holy Communion because they are out of communion with the Church.

    • Ambiguity and confusion. Which is #1 reason why people leave Catholicism. I can only speak to my area (Albany, NY diocese, Upstate NY), the Protestant and Baptist churches are full of former Catholics. It is no secret that Catholics have predominantly voted Democrat for 100 yrs, historical fact. This is beyond political, Catholic are always taught to go along with secular and government. These dynamics are in play now more than ever. Catholic churches here are bastions of liberal thought, ambiguity, and confusion. Why do the heathen rage? Why do they imagine such a vain thing? Answer: because you allow it. The Baptist churches especially are solid Biblical teaching, charitable, kind. But very clear on Christian teaching. Also another dynamic here: people leave the Catholic CHURCH…not Catholic teaching. The 2 are clearly in 2 columns right now. None of them “hate Mary” or any of the tropes that have cast Catholics against Protestants. They will tell you, Catholicism is empty now. I am curious if things are the same in other Blue states (former Catholics seeking more solid Christian teaching). I say all of this with charity and love. I can tell you there are LEGIONS of former Catholics who would return, if the Bishops and priests had courage. Many of the Bishops, at the orders of secular leaders, locked the church doors in 2020, and DENIED the faithful the Eucharist! When secular leaders gave them “permission” to reopen, Bishops agreed to “occupancy limits”, turning away attendees. Shame! Jesus will dust off His sandals and go where He is welcome. The former Catholics are following Him…but they are not going into the Catholic churches anymore. Pray for our leaders.

      • Unfortunately, your statement about Baptists, while it may be true for the area you live in, is not true around the country. https://www.thegospelcoalition.org/article/southern-baptists-divided/ Several protestant denominations, notably the Baptists, Methodists and Episcopalians (Anglicans) are experiencing these divisive problems. We all need to listen to the Word of God. As Dr. Peter Kreeft says, the “job” of the Church is to pass on and interpret the word of God, not to edit his mail. These attempts by Fr. Martin, Cdl. McElroy, and others are taking on the task of editors. Sometimes I wonder if they have ever read the whole Bible AND the Catechism of the Catholic Church.

      • I am saddened to hear this, but am aware of the degradation of the faithful in the Northeast and West Coast. There are substantial communities and strong holds in various parts of the country, where Church’s are full, vibrant and neither “liberal” or “conservative”. They are simply Catholic, and Catholic is a Universal truth, Sacramental and life giving. In the political climate of today, you will not see that in Blue States. Retired Archbishop’s like Charles Chaput formerly of Denver, retired in Philly, were denied a Cardinal Seat, long reserved for the Bishops of Philadelphia. Why? For being “conservative”. Really that means, for being faithful for the teaching. Pope Benedict spoke of the remnant Church, and the true Church of Jesus, NOTHING should be in the way of receiving the Eucharist, adoring Jesus in the Sacrament, and sadly, those “conservative” voices who leave the Church for Protestant Church’s, almost de facto demonstrate a lack of faith in the true presence of Jesus. Start a mens/women’s group, start a bible study, start a book club that studies the lives of the saint’s, but Stay in the Pews…this is a war of attrition…Who Started the baptist Church?? Who Started the Catholic Church? People, Bleed for Jesus…don’t flee for a better sermon, rebuild like the true reformers did…of the Catholic History.

  5. Until very recently in human history, sex used to be considered an immutable characteristic of the human person through which one would find their purpose; the fullest expression of what God intended for their lives. “Science” (sorcery) has made possible a facsimile of superficial sexual identity and like so many other endeavors where God has been expelled, the ‘will to power’ remains. In the end, there seems to be only one of 2 alternatives: Aquinas or Nietzsche. For those IN the church, the choice should be a literal no-brainer. Sadly, making room for modernity by casting out perennial Truths like those enunciated by Aquinas has left MANY in the church confused, disillusioned and “whacky”, anent McElroy and Martin. Thank you for this article and your insights and reflections. I know you wish to be sensitive to those that appear to be influenced by Godless actors in this drama/tragedy; but, clearly those that have used their malformed conscience (or unformed/immature conscience) to conduct drastic sexual overhaul of what God created in them are actively participating in self-hate at best and demonic obsession or possession (coercion) at worse. Let us humbly pray all the more especially where it appears our prayers are “least” effective. God prefers it that way.

  6. All too many “Obama-Biden” political bumper stickers were placed on car bumpers at my local Novus Ordo church for me to get too comfortable with the “catholics” there. Where I now attend, no such abominations are even being suggested. I prefer it that way. I truly believe that attending NO Mass was the only and last place left in my life where I would find myself surrounded by democrats. Since leaving the NO, for a wide array of reasons, I have found myself NOT MISSING what 55-years of attending actually gave me, i.e. very little.

  7. A church that doesn’t boldly and persistently condemn the chemical and surgical mutilation of biologically normal, yet emotionally confused children, and does not mightily condemn clerics who support such mutilations, is failing God and will be held accountable by Him in this life or in the next.

  8. Bible Scripture: Deuteronomy 22:5 – “Women are not to wear men’s clothing, and men are not to wear women’s clothing; the Lord your God hates people who do such things.” (Abomination) – Reference: Good News Bible GNT

    • I have read and reread this explanation of the “sins” of the transgender “community”. However, after all the rhetoric, I see NOTHING of the PARENTS “suffering” from their child’s trans desires and admissions. We rely heavily on mythology and demeaning slurs.
You say: “Another aspect of the trans phenomenon that suggests demonic influence is the brazen lie that lies at the heart of it—the belief that individuals can change their gender at will. To compound the damage caused by the lie, ordinary people are forced to repeat it. We know that the stubble-faced guy with the baritone voice who works in our office is not a woman, but we also know that we’d better refer to him as “she” lest we end up without a job. It’s difficult to understand how so few people can compel so many people to tell lies—unless the “father of lies” is working his trade.” “Individuals can change their gender at will.”
If they are DRIVEN to change their gender under major surgery, they will suffer the scorn of the church and society. Why would a non-trans sane person opt for that nightmare?
All this attempt to show trans as EVIL only presents them with a public platform.
May God help us to help others.

      • Morgan, some troubled young people fall into this type of delusion because they feel acceptance and affirmation by those promoting it. Even receiving special attention and celebration by the culture.
And that applies to some parents also.

      • What does Sacred Scripture say about that?

“There are six things which the LORD hates, seven which are an abomination to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, a false witness who breathes out lies, and a man who sows discord among brothers.” (Prov. 6:16-19)

      • Proverbs 6:16-19: These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

  9. The evil one isn’t content with the millions of children who are murdered each year around the world even before they are born.

It has directed its minions on the left to ravage the lives of those who manage to survive their births by subjecting them to sexual mutilation and sterilization, often at a very young age.

Schools — run mostly by leftists — are exposing young students to the kind of sexualizing materials that people used to go to prison for providing to children.

American Catholics, you who vote for Democrats, are responsible for this satanic madness. The worldwide LGBDQ+x delusion was developed and launched by the same Democratic Party in America that you cannot stop voting for.

Kudos to Mr. Kilpatrick for addressing this monstrous evil. While he may be loath to point out that anyone is aligned with the evil one, you’ll note I have no such compunction.

Look to your souls, American Catholics who vote Democratic.

    • Of course satan is NOT content with the murder of millions of the unborn, because their souls return to God. The corruption of those souls who support abortion is his goal. Now with this sick and evil trans movement, his gain are the souls of the Fr Martin’s of the world AND the souls of the weak and confused who end up being corrupted and morphed into the Fr Martin’s of the world. We need the sharp elbows and conviction of St Paul, to enter the pagan temples and declare the truth.

    • A friend of mine told me recently that a priest in a nearby parish told his parishioners who voted Democrat not to present themselves for communion until they went to confession and sincerely repented. I hope some of them took him to heart.

  10. ” Consider the explosive growth of the trans movement”. They couldn’t kill those children through abortion so they will now sterilise them through trasgenderism. The same people who support abortion generally support trans. They cry ” human rights” but what they really desire is population reduction through the murderous and torturus means of abortion and transgenderism. Homosexuality is also sterile so it is promoted.Eurhanasia is outright murder and is promoted. If people cannot see the demonic presence and hatred of the human race in those 4 evils then they have willingly become blind to the love and ways of God.

  11. “… Martin once told a homosexual person who was about to be “married,” “your love is beautiful.” A common theme in Martin’s writings is that God loves us as we are.”
    ****
A family member used to work as a mental health counselor in a state prison. They encountered convicted pedophiles who sincerely believed they had loved the children they victimized. The pedophiles would explain that they offered love & affection that the children were denied at home. And more often than not those homes were lacking a father.
“Love is Love” is a slogan that we should examine more carefully because it can cover a host of pathologies. And Jesus may love us as we are, but He cares for us too much to leave us as He found us.

      • All sorts of things can lead to sexual pathologies but I think many of those begin with experiences quite early in childhood. Which is a good reason to do our best to provide our children with solid foundations & to create boundaries to keep them safe. Two parent Christian homes & supportive communities are a place to start. And closely monitoring or eliminating social media is another.

  12. I always chuckle at how LGBTQ+- are offended by the Catholic Churches position that homosexual acts are sinful. In reality, they will not stop until the Church states that homosexual acts and relationships are “good” and “part of God’s plan.” In contrast, I never hear heterosexuals up in arms about the Church’s teaching that sex outside of marriage is a mortal sin. This is the consistent nature of the Faith. Leadership need to be firm and clear on this. Ambiguity is looked upon as weakness and seized upon.

  13. I dont follow Father Martins writings, etc. However have read enough of his stuff to see he is in opposition to Catholic morality. I wonder why he has not been reproved or stopped from making such scandalous public pronouncements. Telling a gay couple their love is “beautiful” most certainly is opposite of what the church holds to be true. Is he equally ok with adultery? Threesomes? Pedophilia? Polygamy? Incest? If not, why not? Do not those participants consider what they do to be “love” and thus subject to approval? Conscience aside, the church has always taught that some things are absolutely wrong and sinful. Period. Why is he not held to account by church elders? And am I incorrect in thinking the pope just names him as a rep to the scheduled upcoming synod? It seems like a very poor choice. But then, stacking the deck seems to be a favored approach in the current papacy. It will not turn out well for the future of the church.

  14. In all honesty I do not think this article gets to the heart of the matter. Amongst all the women I know there is absolute terror at the horrors of transgenderism. In this evil pursuit men are trampling over everything unique to womanhood, our sports, contests, modelling etc etc. They claim to be able to breast feed, they claim all words unique to femininity as hate speech. Look at what has preceded this… vile porn everywhere, women subjected to abuse when out on a date, films and magazines portraying women as waste to be used. Ask yourself, if you were a young girl would you want to be a woman in this world where womanhood is so debased? The church is letting women down. There is nothing complicated about this subject it is clear cut men cannot be women and women cannot be men. Genesis spells it out we do not need the mincing apologetic of James Martin.

    • Alice, you’re right. The esteemed Mr. Kilpatrick gives a mostly measured, respectful, charitable account of the evil besetting the Church.

Of course, as a highly respected and reasonable pundit, he cannot connect the dots like you can. He can’t say what the machinations of the evil one’s minions in the Vatican mean to those of us still in the pews.

Which is why your voice in these comments matters so very much, dear Alice!

Through the coming Synod on Synodolatry, they will try to put words into the Holy Spirit’s mouth. Vile, blasphemous, demonic words that celebrate sin and undermine the faith.

You can see it coming. With their hand-picked attendees, they are attempting to insure that the outcome suits their alphabetical agenda.

In other words, they are trying to turn the Holy Spirit into a ventriloquist’s dummy for the likes of Jesuitical James Martin to control.

Don’t let them do it, dear Alice! Don’t let them speak for you!

This is such an important time in the history of the Church, of the world! We need to stand strong against the evil onslaught.

And, for God’s sake, we need to quit voting, lemming-like, for Democrats.

    • I believe Alice that both men and women are being let down by the culture. Young men and boys are having a tough time of it too. It’s tragic for everyone.

  15. The pandemic of transgenderism is driven largely by peer pressure. So, what we are witnessing is a spastic reaction to the profound disintegration and loneliness of modern “society.”

All addictions, it is said, are symptoms of such a lost sense of belonging: the LGBTQ “community”, narcotic escapism, porn, street gangs, and even much of identify politics, etc. Such disconnectedness is termed “anomie” by sociologists, and is the real sociological-scientific foundation” behind the luminary Cardinal Hollerich who signals that the solution to all this is simply to obsolesce our innate natural law and specifically the Church’s teaching on human sexuality. The “throwaway culture” with a vengeance!

Meanwhile, one foundation of the real Catholic Social Teaching is the “family,” and this word doesn’t even show up on the dance card for the Synod on Synodality–the Instrumentum Laboris. An initial listening step, but inept and exploited, and now a “synthesis” without depth of insight.

Instead, synod-designee/poster-child James Martin will be marketing randomized (and anomic) body language. Cerebral flatulence and more gas on the fire.

  16. Cardinal McElroy is a buffoon. A “demonic mystery,” really? What is a mystery is how a Catholic prelate can even think such utter nonsense. By the cardinal’s standards, Saint Paul was a demon, as was Saint Peter Damian, as is the Blessed Trinity when our Lord destroyed the cities of sodomy by heavenly fire. Lord, save us from the wickedness of worldly prelates and the wolves in sheep’s clothing. Children are being mutilated and scandalized by real demons while James Martin (he is no father) and his ilk deny the created order and call evil good. St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle….
