I was in a vintage clothing shop yesterday and a pretty young woman rushed in, lost, looking for the new organic store in town. The clerk, being helpful said, “All you young college girls love everything organic.”
It reminded me of a conversation I had a week ago when a friend was lamenting that natural family planning hasn’t found a foothold among the Whole-Food crowd. “You would think people would go for the natural part?
“Why don’t they change the name,” I suggested, “to Organic Family Planning?”
Although an off-the-cuff suggestion after a glass or two of wine, perhaps it might be just the thing to help promote the health benefits of Church-approved methods for spacing births, especially now that the bad news about the pill — both for general health and the environment — is finally beginning to seep out?
